I intend to run a quantitative study on communist nostalgia, and I need a database containing this kind of information, especially attitudes toward communism or comparison of current state of thing with how was it before 1989. Do you know any database or quantitative study on this topic. I have looked at Gesis databases, but I couldn't find what I am looking for.

It would be perfect if I could find a database that woul allow me to make a longitudinal study, from the 90s onwards. My general hypothesis is that nostalgic feelings towards the communist past are on the rising (at least in Romania).
I am mostly interested in investigating the evolution of nostalgic attitudes, so I need longitudinal data. If you are familiar with databases or researches treating this topic, please inform me about them.

I think that in Europe there is no longitudinal research on political issues. But I think that to be sufficient for your repeated cross-sectional studies.
