Well it depends how you define "biorefinery". If one considers anaerobic digestion with multiple input and output streams as a microbial biorefinery then there is at least one such facility. In Solrød, Denmark, industrial wastes and manure are co-digested with cast seaweed collected on the local beach, and biogas and organic fertiliser are produced. For more info: http://solrodbiogas.dk/
