I would like to open one discussion of why autocorrelation trace (SHG based autocorrealtion) can sometimes gives asymmetirc signal. What can be the possible reasons?

I think that the most frequent cause is an asymmetrical motion of the moving mirror around the center of the pulse. This is common for autocorrelators with simple sinusoidal motion of the mirror, easy to check if ampitude of mirror motion is adjustable. Other types of misalignment and defects of optical elements or their fixtures also can lead to asymmetric signal.
There are not so expensive and rather powerful UV LED with 360 nm emitting wavelength. It is rather close to cubic ZnS bandgap energy
