I am using Aspen Plus V12 to simulate a distillation column using RADFRAC model. When I am doing Design Specs to specify the number of stage (NSTAGE) to achieve certain purity of the product, I entered the lower and upper limits of the number of stage to be varied. The question is that the Step size of the range of the number of stage should be "1" which should make sense, but everytime when I input the number "1", the software keeps popping up a message in a window saying "value is out of range, it must be between -0.5 and 0.5". Anyone has encountered this issue and how to solve it.

From the configuration of Aspe Plus, CSTR does not really support solid reactions. There should be a way around that, but I haven't been able to figure that out. However, you can change the status of your solids to conventional to allow the reaction to take place, while you use a forced separation(using split fractions) incase you need to do some separations. I hope this works.
