As, the plant immunity is now a days a hot subject in plant science.
I was just wondering to know about if you guys would also try to improve the plant immunity system as there are ways to improve.

e.g. When you have the plant-fungal interaction in one generation and then if you study in the second generation and then you compare them...! i maybe wrong but i have the feelings that one can find out good study.
That depends very much on which host plant and which pathogen you are asking about.
Plant immunity is unlike immunity seen in animals. Different plants have different mechanisms of preventing diseases. Often antioxidant phytomolecules like alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, steroids, phenolics etc prevent microbial infections. So one need to identify a plant sp to study it's disease resistance against a specific microbe. Transgenic plants say bearing a Bt Gene shall have a strong mechanism against insect larvae!
This certainly depends on the type of plant and pathogen in question. Other factors could also attribute to plant’s immunity such as genetic makeup and environment.
The plants often show systemic and local immunity against specific pathogens depending upon their allelic makeup.
