Faculty are required to serve on committees voluntarily as service to the University. However, their are some who habitually don't make it to meetings and do minimal work on such committees deferring to very busy schedules. As Chair you spend lots of time sending reminders and managing your own e-mails with respect to deadlines for such nonperforming members. How do you handle these situations on committees as Chairs?
