I recently found out that some supposed researchers had plagiarized my paper which I have published. About 99% of the content of their work is exactly from my published paper, including all my data. What should I do?
It is very simple step in this regard, you should spontaneously report that paper besides the authors to journal in which published that paper. In addition, you should send an email to editor of journal and report the problem. The paper will be remove from that journal and also the list of authors will be add in Blacklist forever.
Contact the editor of the journal or conference that published that paper and inform them. You may want to show them your original work for them to compare with the plagiarized version since all publications bear a date of production making it easy to verify the original paper. If the publisher is reputable, the editor will take steps to withdraw the plagiarized paper and apply the appropriate sanctions. However, if it is a predatory journal, you may not hear from the editor again and will have to take it like that. If the paper is hosted on Research Gate you can report plagiarism and claim authorship of the original paper. I hope that works.
99% paper plagiarized from single source is copy verbatim that is made copy word for word is complete copy paste works is serious matter. You sent notices to plagiarized author and journal editor regarding plagiarism . There are different range of punishment depending upon the severity and you may also demand to retract paper who have made copy directly to the journal editors then the paper is retract by the publisher if really plagiarized.

Write to the editor of the journal that published the plagiarized paper and give them a link to your original publication (or a scanned PDF copy of the print article that you published). Ask them to recant the plagiarized paper with a written apology and compensate you in some manner. Then after this is settled contact the supervisor of the "fake" authors (or Dean if from a University) and tell them about the unethical conduct of those who copied your work.
