The first Airbus Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) Workshop is scheduled to take place on October 19th and 20th 2017 at the Airbus Leadership University in Toulouse, France. I will be delivering a Keynote speech on the first day of the Workshop.

The goal of the workshop is to expose participants to the ways of working, tools, processes, and infrastructure of the new Concurrent Design Facility of the Technology Planning and Roadmapping (XP) team of Airbus CTO.

The workshop will provide the opportunity to meet Experts from other concurrent design facilities worldwide to learn how concurrent engineering is used in the aerospace industry for product design, concept design studies, operational reviews, technology roadmapping, and other applications.

The activities of the workshop include:

· Talks on Ways of Working, Tools, Processes, and Concurrent Engineering Infrastructure, with speakers from Airbus and outside of Airbus;
· Hands-on demonstrations of CDF capabilities and tools; come learn how to take advantage of CDF in technology roadmapping, product development, and management activities;
· An Expert Round Table with participants from the concurrent engineering and model-based systems engineering communities;
· A permanent poster session highlighting ongoing concurrent engineering research projects connected to the operations of the XP CDF;
· Two interactive “Ask Me Anything” sessions, with participation from the XP CDF team;
· Networking sessions between Airbus participants and guests.
