Hi,

If you do retest the reliability and validity fo a previous used questionnaire is also a appreciated one. Because, if you do the reliability and validity then, you would check the things once. Suppose, the previous researcher did some mistakes in their calculation. Then, you have to find out and rectify it safely.

Another one, that previous questionnaire that was used in some other place means, the reliability and validity are different from your research setting. So, find the reliability and validity are finding for your study is very important one.

You should do one pilot study in your concerned study setting and find out the reliability and validity for your questionnaire (previous one) and it should mentioned in your mansucript.

Dear Sethilvel,

Thank's for your interesting response, and i'm agree with you about remaking the reliability & validity test to enhance more the significance of my study. But depending to the some references that i have read on this issue, i think that we can gain more time wether we make also a pre-test questionnaire, then we remake the Rel & Valid tests again; and this is especialy where we have a previous questionnaire with a sample of 500 firms, that has been examined that tests rather than my small sample study (for 30 observ..).

Reliability is a property of the test scores of a sample of a specific population as assessed in a specific context. It is not a property of a test that is independent of context.

So you should read the test literature with caution. Different settings, different samples, different populations - different reliabilities.
