I have seen in the literature that stiffness is sometimes represented in kPA (kilopascals), N/m (Newton per meter) and KN/m (kilonewton per meter). Do they represent the same?
Only Newton per meter or kilonewton per meter are units of stiffness. 1000 N/m = 1 kN/m. Pascals and kilopascals are units of pressure.
The discrepancy is most likely because a lot of people say they are studying muscle/tendon stiffness but are not actually doing so.
I never heard or read the stiffness unit in pascal (N/m2). It is only N/m.
