Few places like automation industries are areas where you can get such good amount of data. ITT like companies have the required sensors and aggregators, which they deploy in automation industries to continuously monitor and record m/c data like vibration, temperature and other parameters(including electrical). You can approach such companies to find where there is such installations. If you are just looking for some data analytics, then, the easiest in India is your own Automotive sector(where you will get diesel /petrol engine data), where I am aware that engine testing centers going on for days together, collecting all parameters of the engine continuously to get the engine control optimized. This can also be used. But if you are specific about electrical machines, then the other people to look for is process industries or industrial automation guys like Rockwell/ABB, etc. The other good option is, I am sure Tata should have the manufacturing facilities automated, which could be one more bet.
For real data about machine (electric machines), you can have a look at the following database:
1. Prognostics Center of Excellence (http:// ti.arc.nasa.gov/tech/dash/pcoe/prognostic-data-repository/)
2. Case Western Reserve University Bearing Data Center Website (http://csegroups.case.edu/bearingdatacenter/pages/welcome-case-western-reserve-university-bearing-data-center-website)
