I am wondering if there are any records in the primary literature of examples of where any Lissotriton vulgaris x L. helvetica or Lissotriton helvetica x L. vulgaris hybrids have successfully been able to breed with their parent species. If so, were any offspring produced and where these fertile?
Well, it seems that the hybrids are much less fertiles than pure individuals

However, I think this other paper might be interesting for you, if you don't know it, already. It shows a certain degree of introgression between the two species, so even if not directly, it demonstrates the backcross of F1 with parental individuals.
