I am looking at some tools to monitor changes in self esteem in patients with depression

What about the Rathus Assesment Scale RAS?

Self-esteem in depression is a contradiction. When you are depressed your self esteem is lowered and it goes with the picture.

The self liking and self competence scale is good (initial paper attached). The measure separates self-esteem into these two categories rather than broader self esteem as measured by the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale.
