Are there any mechanism by which the relationship between aerosol nanoparticle penetration (P) and particle size (D) is: P=aD, where a is constant?

P=aD (power law that power is 1)

that means larger particle have higher penetration through something.

The nanoparticle size is between 20-500 nm.
