The theory of universal common ancestry (UCA) was formally tested in 2010 using a model selection method. This test showed, overwhelmingly that UCA is likely to be true. In light of this and of theories regarding the evolution of modern Eukaryotes via endosymbiosis, are there any good bio-geographic theories about how these localised, newly emerged eukaryotic cells spread around the earth?
