Are there any fast-fix strategies to reduce student nurses posting anxiety in the psychaitric wards?

Mental health nurse

Going to the psychiatric ward for the first time will generally create anxiety, this is mainly due to fear of the unknown. mental preparation is needed for the student and a debriefing session, where we find out student fears and try as much as possible to provide valuable feedback.

Preceptors also play a greater role in alleviating such anxiety.
