When performing the modal analysis of symmetric shafts rotating in isotropic bearings, the point orbits in any shape appear to be circles, disregarding the coordinate system in which the shapes are animated, and at any - even very slow - rotation speed. Are the orbits always circular?

Cross stiffness of bearings is added to diagonal elements of the stiffness matrix. Damping is not taken into account, but the gyroscopic matrix.
