I read that the Maxwell Garnett and the Bruggeman formulae are the most used equations in calculating the dielectric constant (permittivity) in the composite materials which contain a unity permeability. Also the same equations are applicable for the magnetic materials to calculate the permeability, what means that the materials are either electrical or magnetic, but in the case of the composite materials which contain electromagnetic properties, I desire to calculate the permittivity and the permeability together of the these materials, can I use the same formulae in the calculations or they will be different?
Assuming you are happy with the performance of the Maxwell Garnett formula to calculate the electrical property of the composite, you can use the same approach to estimate the permeability of the material.
