From about fifty years, a lot of researchers employ dynamic kinetic methods for the study of the decomposition reactions. However the applicability of those methods has been object of several contrasting opinions. In 1979, my colleagues and I, we tested their validity, for four thermal decompositions, by a direct comparison between the experimental non-isothermal α vs.t curves and the ones calculated on the basis of a previous isothermal study. We observed that the kinetic parameters dynamically obtained are reliable only in particular cases. (G. Flor, A. Marini, and V. Berbenni, Z. Naturforsch., 34a, 437,1979 – A.Marini,V. Berbenni and G. What is the opinion of the researchers today?
