Are scientific papers copyrighted?
Depends on a journal. Some keep copyright to themselves and some give it to author.

yes almost every scientific paper is copyrighted prinarily by the publisher or journal..
Yes almost, till now all the papers i published, first publisher ask for copyright to be transfered to them
