Are radical HAT reactions (metal complexes have not to be involved) possible in H2O?

Dear collegues,

I am exploring some radical reactions in aqueous medium and recently my attenction is focused on HAT reactions where metal complexes are not involved in the process.

Other processes as PCET reactions can be usefull and interesting but I would like to have information about reactions where the movement of H. is in a single kinetic step.

I did not find many papers and information about this kind of HAT reactions in literature but by theoretical point of view, they should work.

The use of water as solvent should not be so well developed, due to the solubility issue releated to the low solubility of the involved chemicals in water.

For this reasons, I am asking if someone has (or had) experience on this kind of reaction in H2O.

I draw your attention to the mechanism of the quantum regime of electro-proton transfer in water in a "clean" system. This is an aqueous micellar solution of ionic surfactants without a redox pair.

Strange question. The radical reactions in water including the hydrogen atom transfer are very well studied, tons of publications in this area. For the beginning read about HAT in

Prof. Mirgorod have already suggested the same review that I am already reading.

Probably my question is incomplete and for this reason it looks strange.

In the radical HAT reactions should not be involved any metal complexes because my system does not tollerate very well this kind of compounds.

As you said and as reported in literature, many HAT reactions using metal complexes are reported and well studied.

I will add this crucial information to the question.
