Various algorithms in artificial intelligence used to day are inspired from animals and insects, but what is about plants ? are they smart so we can inspire from them new algorithms to add to the list of algorithms of artificial intelligence ?
May be the are clever, and need to be studied to discover their intelligence in searchiing food in defense.etc
What is you opinion ?
Trees behave in the fashion suggested although they do not forage but send out roots. Nevertheless they are not smart. Their algorithms although effective are not smart ones and their is no evidence of consciousness. Perhaps the algorithms used by trees are just as good as ours?

Plants don't use algorithms, although we can use or devise algorithms to describe the causal processes plants undergo, and such algorithms might also inspire algorithms for implementation in AI.
