In response to this question, the under-recording of the causes of death and prevalence of COVID-19 in the population of Bangladesh could be considered as an indication. However, this statement is not rigorous enough, as it comes from a poor reading of scientific articles. Some authors refer to the poor perception of the Bangladeshi population of the late implementation of anti-pandemic measures and their unconstrained nature. On the other hand, its socio-economic conditions as a lower middle-income country restricted the necessary amount of testing, as well as insufficient availability of information. For example, by April the number of tests was only 1,759 in a country with more than 164 million inhabitants - given this low number of tests, priority was given to those who had direct contact with foreign returnees. So one factor to consider could be the under-recording of deaths, which will be reflected, but with some delay. We are waiting for the necessary contribution from experts in the field to be able to go into detail.

A raíz del interrogante, podría considerarse como indicio el subregistro en la medición de las causas de muerte y prevalencia por COVID-19 en la población de Bangladesh. No obstante, esta afirmación no posee ninguna rigurosidad, surge de una escasa lectura de artículos científicos. Ciertos autores hacen referencia a la mala percepción de la población de Bangladesh, respecto a la tardía ejecución de las medidas contra la pandemia y de su carácter poco restrictivo. Por otra parte, sus condiciones socio-económicas de país de ingresos medios bajos, restringió la necesaria cantidad de pruebas, así como también una insuficiente disponibilidad de información. Por ejemplo, hacia abril la cantidad de test era de solo 1.759 en un país con más de 164 millones de habitantes– dada esta escasa cantidad de test se priorizo a los que tenían contacto directo con los repatriados extranjeros –. De manera que un factor a considerar podria ser el subregistro de las muertes, que se verán reflejadas, pero con cierta demora. Esperamos la necesaria contribución de expertos en el tema para poder profundizar.

The demographic structure, Bangladesh has a lot of young people (in which the infection goes asymptomatic or very mild in the 99% of cases) while other nations have the great part of persons aged. Practically this infection has consequences only for > 65 years age persons.

Recently, in the UK, there has been a rise in cases as a result of the new strain of the virus. I was wondering if this had been experienced in Bangladesh?

However, it's good to read about the less severe experience of COVID-19 in Bangladesh which ever strain there is. Long may this last. I just hope that the mutated strain does not increase the severity there as well as in the UK.

The immune power is increasing by consuming the food naturally. The may not be aware of knowing the vitamins and minerals in the food components but they are consuming without any scientific nutritional measurements.

The rate of COVID 19 attack is lesser than other countries because of the majority of the economic productive age groups have strong immune power in the body without considering health habits etc.
