Working in a newly created role to develop the business and grow you own department in the area of food virology.  The vision will be to build a new business around food-bourne viruses, offering research, analysis, testing and consultancy services.

Day to day

Drive growth in food virology – leading new business forward

Be the focal point for all food virology research and information within the wider team

Work with scientists and analysts in delivering viral analysis

Provide up to date resource on viruses and attend conferences and seminars to help raise profile.

You will

Graduate in microbiology/virology. Postgraduate experience/qualification(PhD) in virology

Have proven business development and management skills

Experienced in handling, culturing and defining control parameters for viruses

Proven effectiveness in managing timely and cost-effective delivery of technical services/research outputs.

Well-developed communication skills – report writing, presentation skills to groups with different knowledge bases (industrial technical staff through to Research virologists)
