Hi

I am interested in calculating the magneto optical properties of structured periodic surfaces, i.e. something like a gold nanodisk array, a nanohole array, stuff like that. The brute force approach would be to use COMSOL, which has a drawback since even on a fairly large cluster (hundreds of cores) it is going to run pretty slowly. The best bet would be to use a RCWA code, nevertheless metallic materials need a special treatment (basically fast fourier factorization) to converge decently. When dealing with MO properties, full dielectric tensors are involved, and therefore a special fast fourier factorization rules implemetation. Does anyone knows a code that can handle these calculations? I have tried out Stanford S4, which works beautifully with metals, but seems to struggle with MO materials.  I am waiting for suggestions.

Best
