Presence of coli-form bacteria is denoted as fecal contamination in water. I need to know the overall process of conducting this type of research.(more specifically in river water)
If i isolate same type of bacteria from different sources such as Bacillus or E.coli from water and air and isolate a specific enzyme from them,will the enzyme have similar activity?

The same type of bacteria will have different activity of the same enzyme in the most cases, until they belong to the same strain. It is a general purpose of industrial microbiology - to select strains with higher enzymes activity from wild type bacteria.
