I am looking for articles describing the genesis of the floodplain on the Danube east of Svistov, northern Bulgaria. I found only articles on ecological issues (the impact of also floodplains on the local ecosystem; the formation of separate ecosystems within the floodplains, etc.) but I cannot find anything about their origins. Articles do not have to be in English. The only one I have found so far is:
