I have in recent times, many articles found was where eroded with rectangular pulses of about 10 to 100 µm. The advantage was usually that the plants was very cheap.

But I can of no meaningful applications which require an average roughness of 4 to 8 µm, a thermal-affected zone of minimal 30 to 50 µm and a low processing accuracy (< 20 µm). It is then difficult to understand why an optimization (e.g. ANOVA) is performed in a very small limited range of process parameters.

The scientific degree of novelty of this work is, of course, very limited.
