We have adapted different tests and questionnaires to Spanish for children and seniors, both the English and the German. if we can help in any matter, you have nothing more to say.

Adoptation of children to other languages could be: (1). a child that knows one more other language, and lives in her or his own culture. (2). the one that knows more than one other languages, and living in English talking environment too. (3). a child that learns the third specific languge at third state he or she residing non- permanently, with being exposed to the impact of that specific nation's culture, media, and educational system. These series of variables are helpful to norrow down the exact avenue of interest to evaluate.

Dear Sheila, I don't know which test/ questionnaires and what is the final culture/ language you want to adapt them to, but a sound framework for transcultural development of instruments can be found in van Ommeren et al 1999, here attached. Best, Paolo

Dear Paolo, Thanks for your input, I will definitely check this out.  My research agenda has two strands. One is practical and empirical. I have a grant to adapt an English language Developmental Assessment test for blind children and adapting it for Arabic speaking children in the Middle East. Hello again Sheila, I am working in Iraqi Kurdistan, with Syrian refugee and Iraqi IDPs children, implementing mental health/ psychosocial support programs and developing Kurdish and Arabic versions of screening tools to support the appropriateness of interventions. OK cool.  I just completed and adaptation of the Oregon Project for children who are blind or visually impaired for children in Qatar.  It has over 835 behavioral  statements on developmental skills. I would love to hear more about your project and the generalizability to other Arabic speaking countries.  I now there are cultural differences among the different countries. How are you addressing that concern or are you adapting as you go along.    I have submitted a paper that has been accept with revisions.  As soon as I can share it (most likely this summer)  I will let you know.
