Last year we have excavated Dobrogea (South-Eastern Romania) a small flat necropolis or a part from a large one. The dead were buried in flexed position with a lot of ocre. Chronologically (first half of the 3rd mil. BC) there are contemporaneous with the tumular burials of Jamnaja type and there are similar in ritual.

I have not heard of such but one could clearly see on GoogleEarth soil marks of tumuli whose embankment no longer exists in close proximity to excavated Yamnaya tumuli in Southern Dobrogea near Shabla some 20-30 km south of our shared border. So, I thought maybe the embankments over your graves were simply destroyed by agricultural activities. Try checking aerial photos and satellite imagery from winter-spring and look for dark rings. Hope this helps!
