AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I tried it for a few months and paid $243.00 CDNin August 2017 and absolutley no support. I then get another phone call in December 2017,asking me to buy an upgrade. I complained to them that they only contacted me to sell me something and where were they the last four months.I declined and cancelled my membership. But this was after they arbitrarily deducted funds from my credit card. They refunded me for the second deduction of $256.00. Everything quiet until May 3, 2018 when they quietly put through another debit of $53.00 and in June 1, 2018 they did the same thing for $52.00. Rude and obnoxious money grabbing people who do nothing but solicit funds for what I do not know.

It sounds like a site for networking among university graduates from just about anywhere, and its focus seems to be to help you write your profile in a way that sets you apart (they call it "branding"), primarily to find jobs?

That Facebook page also provides you with a web site, but I was not able to access it.

Salam, I just want to know what it is and what it does effectively as I've been approached to be part of it.

I got a call from them today. It was a lot fishy: they asked for a bunch of professional infformation but nowadays it is very weird that they collect information on the phone. And after telling you that they approved the application they ask you for your credit card information. I want to pay through PayPal, nobody gives credit card information on the phone anymore! It's very fishy, I won't do it. And when you go to their webpage you don't find any link to the network, so there's no proof that they actualy have that .

I just got contacted as well. I found the lady quite pleasant until I made it clear I would not give my credit card number over the phone without having a better idea of what I'd be buying (it's quite a sum). She kept saying they "don't do back and forth" and wanted a payment on the spot. I wouldn't commit without them sending more information, so eventually she interrupted me mid-sentence to say "I have to go now, bye", and hung up. Not sure that's the kind of company I'd want to build my brand when the brand they're building for themselves came across to me like bullying sales techniques...

In the first instance, I was led to think that this was an initiative from my alma mater and that it was for free. After a lengthy interview they claimed I qualified for this "international alumni association". They hang up after I made it clear I would pay no money. In the best of cases I think you pay just to add to your CV this phony membership. In the worst case scenario they are after you credit card details!

I had the same experience as Alberto and Jerome. After a lengthy interview, they asked for $750, then $689, then $128, then hung up after I decided that I did not want to make a decision on the spot. The lady who interviewed reminded me (several times) that there were thousands of candidates waiting to "join" the organisation. The only thing I feel bad about is not cutting her off sooner. The conversation continued until she got quite aggressive,

At some point in the process I realised that money would be asked for, but I did not think that I would be asked to stump up money without having anything to review.

I would be wary of this organisation - the amount of information that they ask for can be used for identity theft and social engineering. If anyone gets a call from them, ask them to provide you with an ID that you can use to see what services they are offering to other people (before they decide to "approve" you).

When you get a call from these people hang up right away. They are not who they say they are, they take you through a long interview process over the phone where they get to know you and say they are filling out your “profile”. They try to distract however they can and then at the end they try to charge you almost $600 for something that doesn’t even exist. This company is extremely unprofessional and is a scam. They say that there is no few for your inclusion but that’s a lie. You do not receive and benefits that they say. You will not network with other alumni. And you will not get the promises that they made to you. Please do not entertain these people and their scams.

I just received a call from one of their representatives attempting to complete my application/candidacy. The woman was probably the rudest person I have ever spoke with and the brief discussion was more of a interrogation. As a skilled Diplomat working overseas I do not appreciate such treatment. If they wish to decline my application-I am ok with that.

It's amazing that all of us immediately understood who they are (crooks). however, maybe somebody does not realize that and they continue after so long. today it is the second time in few months that i have received a call from them.

I just received a call from someone named Renee Jones from the International Alummni Association at Maryland. Phone # 1646 307 1469. I received a number of calls from various number and various states (Utah, NY) on Friday but was unable to respond. Finally I amswered today. She began asking a number of questions about my profession and qualifications. Then proceeded to tell me that my application had been approved and that I would receive my welcome package via email. She highlighted all the 'benefits and then got down to business... First red flag: She told me the lifetime membership was $589.00 and the 5 year membership was $489.00. She then wanted me to provide my credit card info over the phone which was a clear indication that something was wrong.

Second red flag: when I said that I needed to think about it and that I would be unable to give my info over the Phone, she proceeded to tell me that luckily they had a 1 year membership for $189.00. Failing to persuade me, she said that as my account director, she could offer me a 1 month trial for $29.00. At this time I said that I needed to think about it and that I would be unable to give my credit card information via the phone. I asked her for her email and she said she didn't have a fixed email. Thank Goodness I followed my gut instinct! This threat further supports my thoughts.

I'm glad I did the same. I was wondering myself when I applied for this Association... at the beginning I thought that it was something from the University I study at...

They apply a bit of social engineering by making you believe that you are the right person for their Association, or that your profile goes with whatever they are trying to sell, until they get to the price.

What a technique (strategy) they have...

I threatened them with contacting the authorities for their perpretation of mail fraud. Within hours they refunded me the two debits. It was a guy called Matthew Stern.
