I want the dissertation to be qualitative and not quantitative because it is hard to access the data. And I’m supposed to write a 15k dissertation, what do you suggest especially for the methodoldy part as it is the hardest part. Your suggestions are appreciated.

Since you are rightly valuing methodology, I don't think you can in your case have a purely qualitative study. Are you going to sit in a corner and think about the impacts of mergers and acquisitions on the pharmaceutical industry or are you going to address the impacts as experienced by suppliers, manufacturers, and consumers? If the impacts are going to be derived from your hypotheses and these sources, therefore there is need to survey and/or interview these stakeholders to arrive at these impacts. Your study will not be quantitative, but will be qualitative, supporting your hypotheses by quantitative data.
