Hi, I am working with BV2 cell line, which described as lightly adherent. that can be removed from the bottom of the plastic flasks I am using by just pipetting medium in and out.
However, when I want cells to seed for further testing, a large proportion of cells stays on the surface of the flasks.
How would you increase the number of cells taken from flasks and plates?
I can just scrape them or use trypsin, but since this is a microglial cell line (easily activated) and I want to test some early events like protein phosphorylation and c-FOS, I would prefer using a brand/type that simply makes it more difficult for the cells to adhere.
I am looking at Thermo's Nunclon Sphera, but I am not sure those are apropriate or disproportionately expensive.

I have good experience with SPL flasks which have no surface treatment, monocytes do not stick and also differentiated macrophages are easy to resuspend.
But never worked with BV2 cell line.
Just as an idea, when I was working with S2 cells and wanted them in suspension I shifted to non-coated plates we were using for preparing bacteria agar plates. I'm not sure that your cell is that robust, but you can give it a shot.
