Trying to grow cells in various sodium alginate, gelatin and collagen based bioinks but did not observe much proliferation of the cells. Cells did not exhibit any spreading or migration through the gel. What components can be added to make a suitable bioink which is more porous and favors cell attachment and cell matrix interactions?

Do you cross-link your printed structures with calcium chloride after printing?
In addition, is your collagen able to gel?
It is difficult for cells to migrate and sometimes proliferate into gelled collagen structures.
