To get high flow rates I will begin to apply stainless steel syringes in the syringe pump. The process will be pushing directly the diluted whole blood or blood cell solutions in PBS into the microchannels.
Plastic syringes (w/luer lock) are disposable and cannot handle high pressure applications. I want to get high flow rates with stainless syringes, but I have to apply a proper cleaning protocol on these syringes after the experiments to reuse them.
How can we remove blood or blood cell residues without fixing them on the syringes?
