Recently I am doing a little research that needs the application of XRD to distinguish between phases present. I got the XRD data, and I am using JADE 6 to analyze the data. There are two compounds that are likely to be found in the sample. I found both of the phases to appear on the same peak and got me confused. I will attach some pictures from the JADE 6 analysis showing some details like hkl.

Look at the reflections that are absent in one but present in the other phase, like the (220) type near 27° in your list.

I have no idea which phase is present in the sample. There is a high superposition of the reflections. I guess the best way to solve it is by deconvoluting the peak, it may be executed in a graph package like Origin, or by the Rietveld fitting algorithm, since you already have identified the phases.

Thank you for your time in replying to my question and your effort in identifying the difference.
Since I already have done EDS analysis and used alloy phase diagrams, I already know the possible phases which are likely to be detected.
Now the peak observed is shared by these two compounds at 2 thetas of, 41.563 & 41. 643 with the same value of hkl (5 1 1).
the confusion comes here, which one is really existing? or is it possible to conclude that both the compounds are existing in the mixture with a similar intensity count?

Thank you for your time in replying to my question and for your effort in suggesting a possible solution.
Despite my limited knowledge on this issue, I came to know that deconvoluting the peaks is helpful when the peaks are overlapping each other.
But, as much as I can tell, the peak observed in the picture can be noticed as a single independent peak.
Do you think deconvoluting the peak into two independent intensities would be reasonable at this point?
