Article Processing Charges

Article Processing Charges (APC) is charged to the author of the article that is being published. The amount varies between USD 1800-3600 depending on the type of article, availability of Funding Support, and the income status of the country. There is no charge for the authors if they wish to withdraw their manuscript from initial stages of processing. However, the author needs to pay full amount as withdrawal charge if the article is under review stage or accepted for publication. This amount will be utilized to compensate the costs incurred during the process and publication. Once the article is accepted by the journal, the APC is due on the author. Authors will have sufficient time from the date of submission to acceptance for deciding whether to continue publication or withdraw the submission. So, fee once paid will not be refunded at any situation as the journal publishes articles under Open Access platform, fee paid by the authors will be spent towards the costs associated with the process and publication.

If you mean the "Annals of Medical and Health Sciences Research" (Print ISSN 2141-9248 e-ISSN: 2277-9205) (https://www.amhsr.org/). Then it is a bit of a mess. https://www.ajol.info/index.php/amhsr mentions that this journal is purchased by Pulsus part of OMICS. This is a notorious predatory publisher. While https://www.scilit.net/journal/2875276 mentions that the publisher behind it is MedKnow (but I was unable to find the journal on their website, I think they used to be the publisher behind the journal). Something happened since 2017 and the journal used to be from Nigeria and nowadays is from or at least linked to India (https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN-L/2141-9248).

The publisher behind the journal is carefully hidden at the journal website (no real contact info can be found). However, in time the journal obtained an indexing in ESCI that (still) seems legit (you can check here https://mjl.clarivate.com/ just enter title).

The costs are mentioned here https://www.amhsr.org/instructions.html (scroll to somewhere in the middle ‘Manuscript submission, processing and publication charges’) depending on article type it varies from 519 to 2519 USD!

So, hard to say. Personally, I would not trust this one, but whether it is predatory is somewhat hard to say.
