I am currently trying to separate different membrane compartments via differential centrifugation, isopycnic sedimentation and sucrose gradient, and I would like to visualize the membranes. I've searched online, but most of what I found is fluorogenic and/or require a photospectrometer to read OD. I am looking for something that I can crudely visualize membrane bench-side. Any ideas?

One way to do it would be confocal microscopy. There are different organelle membrane-specific markers for nucleus, mitochondria, golgi etc. This would be a viable option.
