I have a PMMA based microfluidic device with a hole, open to atmosphere. I want to use a coverslip to seal the open surface, keep that way for 2 days, and then remove the coverslip, to let the hole open. I want to know what kind of a glue will be best to do this. The sealing should be very tight, and prevent any form of leakage. At the same time, removing of the coverslip should be fairly simple and should not involve a process that can damage the PMMA device. Kindly suggest.
If the device is exposed upright, you can simply use petroleum jelly as a sealant or
Water Soluble Polymers like PVP/ PEG/ Sodium Alginate/ CMC. Xanthan Gum can be used as a thickener along with any of the above polymers. Fairly easy to remove.
I wonder if Fixogum meets your requirements, on Basis of natural rubber.
