Fellow researchers, please help me in getting some experimental results which I can use for determining the interface stiffnesses (normal and shear), cohesion and friction angle values for debris to rockmass (preferably Phyllite and Quartzite) interface in a slope. I do not have any experimental results of the interface properties.

I am not sure what you mean by ‘interface stiffnesses’. Do you mean friction, or cohesion. The interface Is fine, that is the surface between the moving/sliding mass above and the bedrock or underlying deposits below. Cohesion would apply in clay-rich deposits, but Scree or talus deposits involve cohesionless debris and are affected by slope angle mainly. Could I suggest you search through Papers in the Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology produced by the Geolocical Society of London or the US Geological Survey papers on Engineering Geology. both of these give many articles on landslides Including in some cases a wealth of data. I also refer to my own paper on debris flows in Wester Ross in which slope angles related to Torridonian Sandstone (a type of arkosic grit - close to quartzite) are found. George J. Strachan Sir, thanks a lot for sharing your views. I will look into the provided literature by you. I would like to inform here that for modelling the debris to rockmass interface behaviour, we need to assign normal and shear stiffness values (compulsorily), and if we want to include any slippage behaviour, then shear strength properties (i.e., cohesion and friction angle values) for a Mohr-Coulomb slip model are to be assigned further in the numerical model. That is why I wanted to know if there are any experimental direct shear test results (large shear box or in-situ block shear tests) for debris to rockmass interface. Hope this clarifies my question more.
