There is an definite index number against a definite algae which is fixed (For example Oscillatoria 4, Chlorella 3 etc.). Once you can index the sampling area by this number when you will find that definite species. The indexing pattern is same but number may different for another all species. Finally, the cumulative result will help you to conclude the comment of your sampling area about its organic pollution status.
Index values between 0-10 = Lack of organic pollution,
10-15 = Moderate pollution,
15-20 = High organic pollution (probable)
> 20 = High organic pollution.
N.B: You can easily find out the index number for different algae species through reviewing some literature.

As you said, If i had two spp., i.e., Oscillatoria 4, Chlorella 3 etc.
Thus, My Index values 4 + 3 = 7
Does is indicate Lack of pollution as per above index table
( Index values between 0-10 = Lack of organic pollution)
