Hey everyone. So I am struggling a bit with calculating water balance in SWAT.

I have seen around the internet that HRU level water balance is an arguable topic and many people get stuck while reading .HRU outputs. eg. many google groups topics or this link that I found: http://santiago.begueria.es/2013/10/unraveling-the-hru-water-balance-in-swat-i/

The thing is snowfall and snowmelt play an important role in my watershed, and output.sub (which is easier to read than .hru) doesn't provide "snowfall" parameter. Thus, I can't calculate snowpack density.

The other thing I struggle with is a SW, SA_ST and DA_ST. How am I supposed to calculate these storage parameters?

For example, Output.std provides one value of SW for the annual summary and that is a value for 31st december. But how does SWAT calculate soil water content? I do not understand that.

The same situation with SA_ST and DA_ST.

So, the general equation would be now:

PRECIP-SNOFALL+SNOMELT = ET+WYLD+ Δ SW+ Δ SA+ Δ DA?

I am lost to be honest, thanks for any advices and your ways of calculating water balance in SWAT.
