I am currently working on detection of pharmaceutical and personal care products. Which analytical method have been carried out for detection of following compounds in waste water
I suggest that you treat each of the compounds that you want to measure as members of a chemical class and not on the basis of their pharmacologic properties. For the detection of small molecules gas and/or liquid chromatography might be used, perhaps by combining 'retention time ' with mass spectroscopy (MS can be an important essential component, particularly if litigation is involved). For peptides or proteins antibody based methods might be used. With appropriate standardization, some of the methods that I have mentioned might be made quantitative, if necessary, for your objectives. Please make a substantial review of appropriate literature in analytical chemistry.
