The book will be an Agronomy Society of America Publication and will be written in a way to excite and motivate students by telling story of agronomy: what it is; key concepts; how it relates to other disciplines; why it is important; career opportunities etc. The project is to introduce agronomy as an important and rewarding career and enhance students' understanding of K-12 science. This will not be a textbook but more a "fun" readable book type. Topics of interest include: plant science/breeding on specific crops; soil science; water management; climate science; weeds and pest management; whole farm systems; agricultural economics; ecologists, industry, sales, etc in relation to K-12 science. If you can share your expertise on any on the agronomy related topics please respond. The deadline for this book is early 2016. We thus currently gathering interesting information for the book now.
