It is possible to identify the presence of amorphous phases by XRD, but it is not possible to obtain enough structural information that would lead to identification of its composition.
To identify the amorphous phase(s) look for very broad peaks or humps, the background is usually elevated where amorphous is present and also the signal is often noisier.
You can get an idea of what might be causing the amorphous signal by looking at the positions of the humps as they will form around the positions of the most intense peaks, were the material to be crystalline. So it may be possible to suggest the composition if you have known candidates.
