Sometimes, even the simplest logistical assistance at the front line is welcome - e.g. driving a supply truck, gathering gifted PPE supplies to hospitals, getting food to medical personnel, helping with burial arrangements, etc.
I am not an expert in this area, but two cents' worth is that Corona Virus in its different flavours, is here to stay. We need to adapt to this reality.
In the immediate term, we need to do what is humanly possible to manage the spread, protect the vulnerable, ensure that health systems do not collapse under the sheer weight of "hospitalisations" due to COVID-19 and protect our health care human capital.
I think though that the focus now needs to shift to the future. COVID-19 has demonstrated the potency of the combination CD and NCD's, but most importantly, it has exposed how vulnerable most health systems are. This is what I think is key. It may well be that as part of strengthening our healthcare systems, we invest in early warning systems of whatever sort and also use robotics etc.,
For example, when designing construction objects, primarily public administration offices, public institutions, shopping centers, etc., the use of the so-called social distance that would be quickly triggered in the event of another SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic (causing the Covid-19 disease). In addition, additional installations can be installed inside such buildings, mounted in the ceilings of rooms and corridors, from which disinfectants, neutralizing the Coronavirus, would be sprayed from time to time, especially at night. In addition, at night, self-propelled robots cleaning and disinfecting the floor can move around these rooms.
