We are planning to deploy some PV rolls in Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to the PV specifications, we have the following climatic data from the deployment site:
+ Global and diffused solar irradiance at PV tilt angle.
+ Wind speed and direction
+ Temperature and humidity
Those with experience of PV model development: Is there any other site-specific input weather parameters needed to develop appropriate models and characterise the PVs and their real working efficiencies?

As you mentioned above the output of photovoltaics is influenced by the weather parameters, As known in literature, that the major needed parameters are :
- Ambient Temperature;
- Relative Humidity ;
- Sunshine Hours;
- Wind Speed;
- Solar Irradiance ;
- weather pressure;
I think also that you may need both these sensors:
- "wetness sensor" which allow to monitoring the wetness or moisture content on the surface of the sensors and whose presence may have mismatch.
- "Saltation sensor" to monitor the saltation activity which may caused by the fine sand or soil particles,
Think that's the most importants parameters,
