The measurement of air pollution and the development of air purification technologies is an important topic at present, as smog problem is increasing in many urban agglomerations. Smog occurs mainly in cities in which traditional energy based on the burning of minerals dominates and also the growing number of cars powered by internal combustion engines. This problem is growing in recent years. The issue of greenhouse gas emissions is also connected with the problem of air pollution. The increase in greenhouse gas emissions is the main source of the global warming process that has been progressing and accelerating in recent years.

In connection with the above, the importance of improving the techniques of precise measurement of air pollution is growing.
