Air contamination / ingress in NETZSCH Jupiter 449 F5 ?

Dear colleagues,

Does anyone of you experienced or detected a problem of contamination of the TGA-DSC NETZSCH Jupiter 449 F5 by external air? We are using Ar as purge and protective gas. We have some indications of oxygen and nitrogen presence during our experiments (which are atmosphere and oxygen fugacity sensitive). Any feedback will be highly appreciated.

What type of air supply lines do you use and how long are they? Oxygen and other gases can diffuse up in very long plastic pipes and then led into the STA. That could be one problem. NETZSCH has also a so called, Oxygen Trap System OTS, which can capture the oxygen above 400°C via a zirconium metal ring below the samples.
