For entertainment I just acquired some worms for my garden and the seller tells me that they are Eisenia andrei. When looking for reliable literature about the biology of these Oligochaetos I find many contradictions. However, they are very important to compost and avoid contamination of food with agrochemicals. I am going to present here a question for the intervention of the scientific community: Do you think is important to work in the study of the biology of these Oligochaetos? There are many contradictions. I can´t find nothing definitive and the worms are very important and useful. What opinions are here about it? Are 13 species in the genus? Is its taxonomy clear? I can think of many more questions to solve by scientific aproaches. What do you think about it?
